Heather Bentley Music offers music teaching in Singing, Pianoforte and Music Theory.
Musicianship is encouraged through learning the mastery of an instrument. Listening and Theory skills are developed alongside technique, sight reading and repertoire.
A personal consultation lesson is encouraged before a commitment is made by any student. This allows us to understand what a student wishes to work towards and for an individual programme of lessons and curriculum to be established.
- Have you ever wanted to learn to sing or to play the piano, either as a child or as an adult? Great enjoyment can be gained from learning a new skill, either just for one’s own pleasure or to improve your music making with others.
- Perhaps you wish to develop confidence as a choral singer to gain more enjoyment from singing in a choir?
- Or to brush up on your theory skills so as to gain Grade V Theory and then move on to take Grade VI-VIII examinations in your instrument?
Heather conducts choirs and ensemble groups and is keen to start a Community Choir.
Heather can offer solo singing at Wedding Services and other functions. Light musical entertainments can be designed based upon ‘Songs from the Shows’ and ‘American Musicals’ for the period 1920 – 1950.
Heather encourages Continuing Professional Development so recently went to Budapest on a Kodály Study Tour with The Kodály Institute.
A current DBS certificate is in place for children and adults.
